Healthy Diet

Diet and Nutrition are important parts of a healthy lifestyle and help to restore nutritional deficits that may have been partially caused by one's lifestyle during his/her addiction. Many clients have health issues relating to nutrition that they were unaware of during their addiction and once they start living a healthier lifestyle, these concerns quickly become apparent.

Our staff works with each client to address nutritional deficiencies and concerns with diet. We start with our medical intake where our physician may address any concerns he has. From there, our holistic treatment staff works with each client through the modalities of Personal Training, Nutrition Education, Massage Therapy, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and other modalities to assist with the physical component of a healthy diet. Our clinical therapy team works with each client to address any eating disorders that may be present through an emotional and therapeutic approach.

At Clarity Way, the skilled and passionate Culinary Team is focused on creating healthy, natural and diverse menus that are conducive to supporting balance, full nourishment and the healing process of recovery. Locally-resourced and organic fruits and vegetables, grass fed meats, poultry and wild game, and fresh seafood delivered next day from the Jersey Shore are at the core of our food creations.

The Nutrition and Wellness Coordinator provides fresh-squeezed juices and fruit smoothies, in addition to accompanying clients on healthy outings, such as local parks and health food markets, encouraging physical wholeness and sound healing practices. Working in liaison with the Executive Chef, cooking classes and educational seminars are presented to the community as well, focusing on ways to continue healthy practices as a permanent lifestyle. In addition, individual food preparation and cooking classes with the chef are available for clients to pursue their personal passions and cooking education knowledge.

Always progressing in the pursuit of providing whole, organic foods, Clarity Way will soon be introducing an on-site greenhouse, which will be nurtured and maintained by the Culinary Team. Composting will be ongoing, using natural food scraps that will break down and be incorporated back into the soil, supporting the mission of eco-friendly and sustainable practices. The Clarity Way garden will include a vast array of fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs to be used in cooking, as well as plants and flowers which will be incorporated throughout the community.

The main mission of Clarity Way's kitchen staff is to provide culinary engagement as a path to recovery. With food and nourishment being a basis for our overall wellness, Clarity Way understands that only the freshest ingredients and finest recipe development are the foundations of health, healing and recovery.
