Justin Daniels Autobiography - Book Cover

Book Synopsis

Intro

Drug and alcohol addiction affects people from all walks of life. It does not play favorites, and it does not affect any two people in the same way. No More Vodka in My Orange Juice chronicles Justin Daniels' life from the time he started training for horse reining competitions at age 9 to the rehab experiences that shaped his decision to establish a drug and alcohol treatment facility that focuses on individual needs rather than a one-way-fits-all approach. In addition to a unique spiral through addiction and recovery, Justin provides essential information based on his own experiences for anyone struggling with addiction.

Part 1

Imagine a life where your only goal is to be number one. Losing is not an option. That's what growing up was like for Justin Daniels. He was taught that winning horse reining competitions required 100% of his focus. So when he quit competing after eighth grade, there wasn’t much left to fill the void. Adolescent partying engulfed his life, which eventually turned into frequent social drinking and a full-blown addiction as he entered his 20s and then started a family.

Part 2

Addiction is scary, especially for someone who has no prior knowledge of the disease and how it can destroy lives. During his second stay in rehab, Justin finally learned more about his underlying issues and how they played a part in his addiction. He soon discovered his calling was to open a peaceful facility focusing on personalized addiction treatment programs based on the individual needs of each client.

Part 3

In order to find recovery, the addict as well as the family members and friends need to invest a significant amount of time and effort toward changing behavior and lifestyle. Justin offers tips and suggestions based on his and his family's prior experiences with addiction and recovery. Recovery is a long road, but anything is possible with hope and love.
